Update on our healthy adventure...

Sorry about all these boring posts.

We've been doing really good at keeping our food diaries and watching what we eat! It was super hard to go over to Wes' house because they had chips and candy for snacks, but we resisted! Well, I had 11 chips.. the serving size lol. I figured I deserved it :)
So.. we measured ourselves last week so we'd be able to tell if we were losing any inches.
AND we've been going for walks as the weather allows and working out on our elliptical almost everyday...
And..
We both lost 2 lbs after the first week! We hope to lose between 1-2 lbs/week. We've got a long way to go, but it'll be worth it!

What the?

So I called my mom a few days ago (I wanna say Saturday?) and she never called me back, which was weird. So my dad calls me today while I'm in class, but I can't answer. So he calls again this afternoon from his cell, and I asked 'are you home' 'cause he works on the slope for a few weeks and then is off for a few weeks at a time. He says, no we're in Phoenix. UH?? My parents live in Alaska. So I'm not sure if they told me they were going down there or not, but I had no clue. LOL. Anyways, we're going to try Skype again tonight, which is so much fun! It's so cool for Mady to be able to SEE her grandparents and all that. If only I could convince them to stop in Idaho for a visit one of these days.... :)

Friday night...

Instead of studying and doing a ridiculous amount of biology homework, we went to our friends Wes and Mindy's. I didn't get any pictures, but I have to tell you (whoever you are) about what we did. They made a home made pictionary game and we played it. They had 10 cups with pieces of paper. Each cup had a category (Family, church, kids movies, food, jobs, states, countries, non-kid movies, animals, and I can't remember what else) anyways, you roll the 10 die and that determined your category. You get the idea. There were 9 of us (4 couples and a single guy) so one person was the score keeper and we made up our own rules for the time limits and scoring. ANYWAYS... the whole point of this long story is to make fun of myself and Kendall. I learned that Kendall has no idea where countries are and I can't draw. Wait, I already knew that part about me. So Kendall gets the country BRAZIL. He has no idea what HEMISPHERE it's in, let alone continent. LOL So today I showed him :) Um, you know, that one that is almost as big as Europe? LOL

The other part of this story, is that I was supposed to draw BEETLEJUICE for a non-kid movie, and I thought it was going to be easy, since in the movie, Beetlejuice has to do the same thing to get her to say his name. Anyways, after drawing a brillant beetle + a cup of juice we figured out 2/3 in my group have never even seen the movie or even heard of it! Guess what we're watching next? :)

but here she is wearing her cute shirt from Grandma Alison... she can finally wear it!

The video is ... what we were doing last night.. oh about 10 o'clock! grrr This kid is going through a phase ... I'd really like her bedtime to come back!

Dolly is gone :(

So today I really missed Dolly (who left last Saturday morning) because it is really hard to play game with just two people. :)

About the pictures of Mady... I SWEAR I brush her hair :) It's just that wild!
