Just a few things...

A few updates:

  • I've only lost 1 lb in the last two weeks. On the positive side, I haven't gained any :P I have however, gone down another pant size. Can't afford to keep buying new clothes though, so hopefully the saggy jeans look will come in style :)

  • Kendall got a new job! He is now the IT administrator for Valley Wide Co-op (stores like Valley Wide Home & Ranch and Valley Wide Agronomics) He even has an office. I'm proud of my husband! He started last Friday and so far he loves it. He's had to drive to their offices in Rupert twice already, which makes for a lot of driving for him :( but he says it's not so bad. The best part about him having to travel is he has a company car that he can drive and a gas card, so no worrying about being reimbursed and all that. He also got an Iphone to use, but it wasn't getting reception in his office, so they switched him to a blackberry. His phone is constantly going off because people from the 8 different locations are always emailing him. One lady in Rupert has been waiting 4 months to be able to print on her printer in her office.

  • We're moving! We found this cute little house to rent, and it's a little bit cheaper. We are actually getting more square feet for less $ BUT it's only a 2 bedroom versus our 3 bedroom right now. We do like the house we're in, but we never know when they're going to sell it. The best part about the new house is it will be in our friend's Ward. We're totally psyched about actually knowing someone in our ward and feeling like we belong.
Finally... (I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but it's the first time I've ever heard it) I learned the coolest thing in my human biology class on Tuesday. We were talking about the different senses, specifically taste, and we talked about how there are the four 'tastes' that we have receptors for: sweet, sour, salty, and bitter. Well someone asked, well what about spicy? Our teacher told us that that is actually a response from our PAIN receptors. Wow, so when you eat spicy food, it's actually pain you are 'tasting' ... Once when Kendall gave his nephew Clyde a spicy dorito chip, Clyde responded "it tastes like burning!" . . . well I guess he was right.
